Grief Support Group

Flint Hills Suicide Loss Survivors' Support Group

Sometimes in life, events occur that fracture the very foundation on which we stand. Our life, as we have known it, is forever changed and we find ourselves in an unexpected struggle, first just to survive and then to move forward. It is important to know that people can and do survive the loss of a loved on by suicide. We are forever altered and will never stop missing our loved ones, but we do survive and go on to lead meaningful lives. Suicide loss survivors share a singular bond. Although each of our situations is unique, we tend to experience similar feelings, emotions, questions and stages of grief. Because suicide grief is so different than grief experienced from other types of death, many survivors value the understanding available at suicide survivor group support groups. Groups often provide an opportunity to meet other survivors who are further along in their grief journey and who provide hope for the newly bereaved. Meeting monthly: 1st & 3rd Wednesdays, 6:30pm to 8:00pm Location: University Christian Church, 1506 Browning Place, Manhattan, KS, email:, Telephone: 785-776-4075, facebook: Flint Hills Suicide Survivors Group
